battles, operations and history.
It gives summary information for those with an interest in 'things naval' who just want to browse around. Is a 'quick source' before going into more detailed research. It's scope in time is not limited to the current Royal Navy. It includes details of things naval for each of the countries which now make up Great Britain; as far back as can be determined. (Including England's Navy Royal before the Union, Scotland's Navy before the Union, Anglo-Saxon, Viking and Roman.) So work will continue for quite some time to come.
