Kilbirnie Class (1943) Coastal Escort |

| As part
of lend/lease, 15 US Navy coastal escorts were transferred to the Royal
Navy in 1943 as the Kilbirnie Class. They were powered by diesel engines and very similar to the
British corvette.
All survived WW2 and were returned to the US Navy in Dec-1946.
