HMS Porpoise (1958) SSK  (11th)

     
This the eleventh ship to carry the name HMS Porpoise was the name ship of a class of eight diesel-electric powered submarines.

Built by Vickers-Armstrong of Barrow-in-Furness, launched 25-Apr-1956 and commissioned 1958.

Used as a target for unarmed torpedoes from 1979.

Decommissioned 1982 and sunk as a target 20-Oct-1985.
