HMS Prometheus (1807) (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Prometheus was an
18-gun, fireship. Built by Thomson of Southampton, launched 27-Mar-1807, 109ft 6in long, 30ft wide and of 432 tons builders measurement. Used for harbour service from May-1819. Renamed HMS Veteran 02-May-1839. Broken up Aug-1852. Won the Battle Honour: Algiers 1816.
