This the third ship to carry the name HMS Escort was an
Albacore class, 4 gun, wooden screw gunboat. Built by Patterson of Bristol, laid down 15-Oct-1855, launched 26-May-1856 and completed later that year. Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856. Broken up Oct-1865 at Pembroke Dock.
